Ph.D. Graduates

Ian Costanzo currently works at Intel as an analog design engineer. He defended his Ph.D. dissertation and graduated in May 2022.

Ian Costanzo received his B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minor in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Worcester, Massachusetts in 2015. He received his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2017, also from WPI. He was a Ph.D. candidate in the New England Center for Analog and Mixed-Signal IC Design (NECAMSID) and the Integrated Circuits and Systems Lab (ICAS). more

Devdip Sen currently works at Analog Devices Inc (ADI) as a product engineer. He defended his Ph.D. dissertation and graduated in December 2021.

He received the B.E. degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai, Mumbai, India, in 2015, and the M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, MA, USA in 2017. He was a Ph.D. candidate in the New England Center for Analog and Mixed-Signal IC Design (NECAMSID) and the Integrated Circuits and Systems (ICAS) lab. more

M.S Graduates

Ben Larkin currently works at Analog Devices Inc as Mixed-Signal Design Engineer. He graduated in May 2023.

He received a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2022 and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from WPI in 2023. His interests include analog/mixed-signal circuits and RF circuits. He previously interned at Analog Devices as a Product Engineering Intern during the summer of 2021 and 2022. Ben currently designed a portable blood pH sensor for his MQP. He is currently working the Transcutaneous Carbon Dioxide Monitoring wearable.

Ravi Kirschner currently works at Raytheon Technologies as ASIC design engineer. He graduated in May 2022.

He received his B.S degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA in 2021. He worked on his Master’s in ECE, focusing on analog integrated circuits and digital system design. He recently interned at Raytheon designing scan chain test systems and verifying PDK behavior, and his research will be focused on designing integrated circuits for implantable optogenetic systems.

Aatreya Chakravarti currently works at Marvell Technology Inc as an ASIC architecture analog IO/HSS engineer. He defended his MS thesis and graduated in December 2021.

He received his B.S. degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering and in Biomedical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2019. He joined the M.S. program in Electrical Engineering with a focus on analog/mixed-signal IC design for medical ASICs. He interned for Marvell Semiconductor working on high-speed SerDes topologies. His Master’s research at ICAS was dedicated towards designing implantable neural chips for optogenetic applications.

B.S. Graduates

Ciara Murphy received a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Electrical and Computer Engineering in the spring of 2023. Her interests include sensor design and signal processing. She previously interned at UMass Chan Medical School in the Newborn ICU as a research intern, Boston Scientific as an R&D engineer intern, and Delsys, Inc as a hardware design engineer intern. 

Vanshika Rohera graduated with a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and minor in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in May 2023. She is interested in IC design, microelectronics, and embedded systems. Vanshika has previously interned at Analog Devices as an embedded systems intern in the summer of 2021 and at Dell Technologies as an engineering intern in summer of 2022.

Abi Leonardi received a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the Spring of 2023 and plans to earn minors in both Chinese Studies and Computer Science. She has a variety of interest within the field including signals, microelectronics, and power. Abi currently holds the position of Vice President for the Women in Electrical and Computer Engineering club. She previously interned at Texas Instruments as a Field Applications Engineering during the summer of 2022.

Sydney Hobson received both a B.S. and M.E. in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the Spring of 2023.  Her interests include sensor design and signals processing.  She previously interned at Siemens Healthineers as a Project Management Intern in the summer of 2021 and 2022.  

Joshua Geyster received a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the Spring of 2022 and plans to receive an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from WPI later that year in the Fall of 2022. His interests include digital circuit design, embedded systems, and computer architecture. He previously interned at General Dynamics Electric Boat as a Systems Engineering Intern during the summer of 2021.

Evan Buckley received his B.S. degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from WPI in 2022 and has plans to complete his M.S. degree at WPI in the same field by 2023. He is interested in power systems, particularly renewable energy development. Evan currently holds the Vice President position for the WPI chapter of IEEE HKN. He worked on the blood pH sensor MQP team.

Eric Baccei currently works at Analog Devices Inc (ADI) as a product engineer in RF System in Package (SiP) group. He received a B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2021.

His interests include analog/mixed-signal circuits as well as RF circuit design. He previously interned at Ensign-Bickford Aerospace and Defense as an Electrical Engineering Intern in summer 2019. He held an officer position in the WPI IEEE HKN.

Eric Macorri currently works at Analog Devices Inc (ADI) as a product engineer. He had a B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2021.

Eric has an interest in analog microelectronics and RF. This interest brought him to designing an analog front end for a noninvasive, wearable core body temperature sensor, which became his senior MQP. He interned as a Test Engineer for Teradyne over the summer of 2020. He held the Vice President position in the WPI IEEE. 

Cameron Williams currently works at Analog Devices Inc (ADI) as an RF test engineer. He had a B.S degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

His interests include mixed-signal and Microwave/mmWave design and test. He previously interned at Synopsys as a Digital Design Intern in the spring of 2019. He helped to develop a noninvasive, wearable core body temperature sensor for the lab during his senior MQP.

Franco Baudino currently works at Texas Instruments (TI) as an analog design engineer. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2020 and an M.S. in electrical engineering following his B.S.

Franco has an interest in analog electronics, with a strong background in computer science. Summer of 2019 he interned for Texas Instruments designing power ICs. In his free time, Franco likes to read about philosophy and understand how quantum physics creates electrical phenomena.  

Bill Chieng currently works at Texas Instruments (TI) as an application engineer. He received a B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2020 and an M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from WPI in 2021.

His interests include analog/mixed-signal circuits, specifically analog microelectronics. He previously interned at Analog Devices as an Applications intern over the summer of 2019. He served as the secretary and webmaster for the WPI IEEE student chapter and an officer position for the WPI IEEE HKN.

Fivos Iason Kavassalis currently works at Philips as an electrical design engineer. He was an Electrical Computer Engineering major and a Computer Science minor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (class 2020).

He has been an Embedded Software intern at BOSE Corporation in the summer of 2019 and a lab intern at MIT Sea Grant in the summer of 2018. He was a member of the Honors Society for Electrical and Computer Engineers (Eta Kappa Nu) at WPI, a member of IEEE and of the Mathematical Society of America. During his MQP project, he worked on the design and implementation of a flexible wearable PPG sensor that collects and analyzes health data.

Yuchang Zhang currently pursues his education as a Ph.D. student at Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He received a B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2019.

His concentration is integrated circuitry design. During his time at WPI, he has conducted two types of research in the field of ECE, which include his MQP, utilizing thermal imaging and development of algorithms to detect and predict potential failures in high-voltage power systems, and interdisciplinary research between Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, designing an integrated AFE for ENG (Electroneurogram) acquisition to help facilitate diagnostics of nerve degenerative diseases using TSMC 180nm technology.
