- 3 papers from ICASLab will be presented at MWSCAS 2020 Conference. Congratulations all! Devdip and Ian will present a paper on respiration monitoring technologies. Vladimir will present his work on the node security of biomedical devices. Aatreya will present his team’s work on measuring ENG (Electroneurogram).
- The Internet of Bio-NanoThings (IoBNT) concept envisions the connection between biological cells and the Internet. The ultimate goal of IoBNT is to catalyze a revolution in biomedical technologies through advances in molecular communication, integrated systems, bio-nanosensors, and synthetic biology to improve human health and quality of life. In our paper, an application of IoBNT called PANACEA (a solution or remedy for all difficulties or diseases in Latin) is presented as a solution for an end-to-end design towards realizing the IoBNT for the first time in the literature. This work has been achieved in collaboration with Ian F. Akyildiz, Maysam Ghovanloo, Bige Deniz Unluturk, Tevhide Ozkaya Ahmadov, and Fatih Sarioglu and accepted by IEEE Access.
- PI Guler has been awarded a WPI TRIAD grant, recently. The project title is “Creating a Digital Platform for Evaluation, Validation, and Visualization of Oxygenation Parameters of Human Body for Understanding Fatigue in Lymphangioleiomyomatosis Patients” and will be conducted in collaboration with Prof. Tulu from Foisie Business School and Prof. Rao from Mechanical Engineering.

- Despite Covid-19 interruptions and distractions, we had a very productive Spring 2020 semester with ECE 524 students. And finally, proudly all students presented their final projects.
- ICAS Lab alumni Yuchang Zhang is joining Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), Electrical Engineering Ph.D. program in Fall 2020.
- Dr. Guler appointed as the Outreach Committee Co-chair of Custom Integrated Circuits Conference (CICC’21) which will be held in Austin, TX in 2021.

- ICAS Lab members, Ian Costanzo and Devdip Sen, are going to BioCAS 2019, Nara, Japan to present our work on transcutaneous oxygen sensing.
- Dr. Guler has been selected via a competitive application process from an international pool by Interstellar Initiative – presented jointly by the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development and the New York Academy of Sciences – for the Interstellar Initiative award. The initiative recognizes the world’s most promising Early Career Investigators and connects them with peers, in related but distinct disciplines, providing a platform (Interstellar Initiative Workshop) for them to develop a solution to a major research question.

- Our paper entitled ” A Reconfigurable Passive Voltage Multiplier for Wireless IoT Applications,” has been accepted for publication in IEEE TCAS II journal. It appears in early access issue.

GRIE ) is a poster celebration and competition that highlights the breadth, diversity, and quality of WPI’s graduate research. Our lab members Devdip Sen and Ian Costanzo attended GRIE’19 to present their recent work.
- The Women in Circuits Committee is organizing a workshop, “How to Save Lives With Circuits” during ISSCC 2019 on Sunday, February 17, 2019. This event is free and open to public. Dr. Guler is one of the organizers and will host the event.
